Immunology III is a comprehensive text on general and basic immunology, infectious agents, and mechanisms and manifestations of clinical problems, with attention to immunotherapies. The clinical section is short on descriptions of immunologic disorders (for example, lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis), so most clinicians will regard this text as supplementary to textbooks with a preponderantly clinical orientation. Immunology: Basic Processes is a soft-backed version of the first 11 chapters of Immunology III, those designated in the parent book as "The Principles of Immunology."
