To the editor: In the interesting article by Dooley and associates (1), I had difficulty following the reasoning in at least one statement. A universal problem for the reader of articles discussing percentages in various subsets is to keep track of the absolute numbers being discussed. Maybe one standard table should be required with a list of all percentages and absolute figures presented in the article, but obviously I cannot imagine any way of doing this in a short and precise table.
