Several integrated packages for statistical functions have become available recently, enabling clinical researchers to do much of their data analysis on microcomputers. CRISP (Crunch Interactive Statistical Package) attempts to combine ease of use with a comprehensive set of statistical capabilities. This goal is achieved moderately well.
CRISP does a wide range of statistical procedures: descriptive statistics (frequencies, means, standard deviations, standard errors), cross-tabulation tables, t-tests, simple correlations, multiple regression, nonlinear regression, analysis of variance, Cronbach's alpha coefficient of reliability, principal components analysis, and a few nonparametric tests.
