With the increasing complexity of clinical trials, it can be difficult for researchers to ensure adequate compliance with protocol. PROTOCALC is a menu-driven program designed to assist those involved in clinical studies in following their patients. The program displays or prints out specific instructions (which may be formatted as a data sheet) for each patient visit. It keeps track of the number of days a patient is on protocol, and searches its files for instructions on when a patient should be seen, what laboratory tests are needed, and the scheduled therapy.
