Knowledge of primary and secondary diseases of the oral regions has increased to the point where it is difficult to keep current even if one's practice is limited to patients with problems in that area. Keeping in mind the size limitations of a single volume combining atlas and text, the authors have done remarkably well to make this book comprehensive. They have included some uncommon and even rare diseases that are important in considering possible morbidity or mortality. In addition, the correct diagnosis of even rare benign lesions may prevent over-treatment.
