The AMA's "Medical Conditions. . ." covers visual and hearing difficulties; diabetes mellitus and other endocrine problems; neurologic, psychiatric, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory disorders; problems related to age; alcohol and drug abuse. Other chapters consider administrative and legal matters. The Canadian Medical Association's "Physicians' Guide. . ." (also published as a supplement to the 1 April issue of Canadian Medical Association Journal) is more concise and tightly organized and hence its text is, in general, more to the point; despite its lack of references, its much lower price makes it a better buy.
