All physicians are acquainted with several excellent large textbooks of medicine that are updated regularly. These books are usually edited by a panel of experts, and they contain chapters on the various medical subspecialties. Such texts serve a specific purpose and are valuable in the reference library of the physician. However, this book is different in two regards, and each of these features adds a unique dimension of usefulness.
