Most of this text covers considerations generally applicable to any "desktop publishing" uses for the Macintosh. At a few points there is a focus on graphics needs in science. The orientation, especially in the selection of references, is distinctly British. The senior author has a long experience in medical work, but this field does not dominate the manual's content.
