This program provides the physician with a differential diagnosis for a patient with an undiagnosed systemic illness. The "User's Manual" is excellent. Instructions are well written, logical, and brief. Data on patients are easily entered using a three-digit code for each of the 254 clinical and 131 laboratory findings. A differential diagnosis can then be generated using the entire database or by one or more of four topic subsystems. The differential diagnosis is listed in order of "relative goodness of fit," an estimation of how well all the entered findings fit a given diagnosis relative to other diagnoses.
