This textbook, consisting of 32 chapters in a multi-authored format, covers a wide range of topics. One third of the text is devoted to the physics of ultrasound and color flow Doppler image acquisition and processing. Included is a chapter comparing color flow image acquisition and processing capabilities obtained from five commercially available color Doppler systems. Several of the more technical chapters discuss very similar topics, resulting in redundant information. Some relatively esoteric chapters are directed toward engineering or equipment-specific aspects of color flow imaging.
