The clinical applicability of the presented information and the accessibility of this information to the practicing clinician are the criteria by which a publication's value should be judged. In general, Rosso provides a useful source of scientific information for the clinician who cares for pregnant women. This review of issues pertinent to both fetal and maternal nutrition appears to be relatively up-to-date. Databased and well-referenced discussions peruse topics ranging from maternal-fetal physiology to nutritional requirements for mothers and fetuses.
