The editors have made a novel attempt to present all the modalities of cardiac imaging in some detail in a single volume. The newer techniques of ultrafast computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and positron emission tomography are presented with the more standard modalities of echocardiography, radioisotope studies, and coronary angiography. The book compiles the work of more than 100 authors, many of them leaders in their field.
