Figure 1 of this article (1) contained an error. Note 4 should read: 4. ACP and USPSTF do not recommend a Papanicolaou smear for women over 65 years of age who have had consistently normal smears in the previous decade. CTF suggests Papanicolaou smears every 3 years before 35 years of age and every 5 years to 74 years of age, after two normal smears following the onset of sexual activity.
