Two main sections: one for laboratory tests with subentries by drug with text indicating effects of drugs on the test or other related effects; and one for drugs with subentries for tests or what is measured indicating the effects modifying test results. The opening indexes for laboratory tests and drugs give cross-references to the entry terms. The last section gives references to the underlying documentation; references are identified in the two main sections by reference number. The 1991 supplement has the same format. A valuable reference work for clinicians as well as laboratory directors and staff.
