Content: The text is divided into 3 sections. The first section reviews broad areas, including all-cause mortality, pregnancy, childhood, and geriatrics. The second section discusses disparities in clinical settings, including cardiovascular disease, transplantation, and pain management. Crucial issues in health care policy and delivery, such as cultural competency, workforce diversity, and disparities in patient safety, are presented in the final section. All chapters contain many references and end with a short recommendations section.
