Surveys of recent research on initiation and spread of cardiac electrical excitation, mechanism and electrical control of arrhythmias, and methodology (display and computer analysis systems). Unlikely to satisfy the clinician unless he has a strong interest in the genesis of the electrocardiogram. The particularly clinical topics have been more effectively reviewed in more up-to-date form elsewhere. Subject and author indexes.
