Fourteen papers from a symposium of the Heart Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania held in Philadelphia, March 10 to 11, 1966. Surveys of recent developments in methods for study of function and structure in fine vessels (X-ray microscopy, time-lapse cinemicrography) and research in blood-cell behavior, capillary permeability, and characteristics of certain regional (lung, eye, skin) fine-vessel circulation. Not a completely comprehensive or coherent account, but this book does give an entry into the literature of this aspect of cardiovascular physiology and pathology which has not shown the dramatic "advances" of related fields.
