Papers from concurrent sessions of the Eighth Annual Medical-Scientific Conference of the National Alcoholism Forum, jointly conducted by the National Council on Alcoholism and the American Medical Society on Alcoholism held 2-4 May 1977 in San Diego. The biomedical secion of Volume III deals with the metabolism of alcohol, particularly in the liver, and specifics of the effects of alcohol on the central nervous system. Included are a new animal model and a new treatment for alcoholic hepatitis using propylthiouracil.
