Summarizes Americans' dietary intake of calories and eight selected nutrients. Nutrient intake includes calcium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, thiamine, riboflavin, protein, and niacin; the data were obtained during a 24-hour food recall, conducted as part of the Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (HANES). Data are presented by race, sex, income status, and age (1 to 74 years). Black and white constitute the race categories, while the income status is divided into two levels: income below poverty level, and income at or above poverty level.
