Nodular nonsuppurative panniculitis (Weber-Christian panniculitis) is a syndrome characterized by recurrent subcutaneous and, on occasion, visceral nodules and plaques with pseudopiogenic repair of adipose tissue (1). The syndrome has been associated with many disorders, such as pancreatic disease and immunologic disorders, but in some cases no other disease can be found (1, 2). We believe that this is the first report of a case of idiopathic nodular nonsuppurative panniculitis complicated by generalized amyloidosis.
