This software is designed to help physicians keep accurate and up-to-date records of their patients' medications and to make writing prescriptions and patient instructions easier and more accurate. The system is menu-driven, with individual and global record editing and query capabilities. All the functions can be broken down into two basic operations: entering and editing information about patients and medications, and printing reports and prescriptions.

Because the software can generate prescriptions automatically using default dosage strengths and sizes, it is imperative that the database be maintained accurately. However, there are many problems with the software's maintenance procedures that will make
