A short multiauthor text on medical aspects of the rheumatic diseases in adults and children, surgical pathology, relevant anesthetic considerations, and specific surgical approaches and methods for the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, spine, hip, knee, foot, and ankle. Radiographs, surgical diagrams, photographs of characteristic appearances and surgical procedures. The price is preposterously high in view of the book's brevity and relative frugality of illustration judged against other surgical textbooks. (EJH)
