This Atlas, by one of the foremost Japanese hematologists, consists primarily of representative slides of various disease states that he has collected over a 25-year period.
The Atlas begins with a short introduction of the author's theory of hemocytogenesis. A brief description of each of the various diseases is then given. Following each description, the color plates showing the blood cells of that disease are printed on the right-hand side. On the opposite side of the page there is an outline drawing of the cells, with a legend for these cells.
