This large volume represents the contributions of 59 recognized experts who intend to supply basic information on nutrition and its application to the practice of medicine. The book is divided into three parts, concerned with normal nutrition, nutrition in disease, and nutrition in periods of physiologic stress. The topics covered in 32 chapters concern all the sub-specialities of medical practice and each chapter is appended by a pertinent and current bibliography.
