To the editor: I was pleased to read your recent editorial (1) that Dr. Huth concluded with a reference to well-equipped hospital libraries as one possible aid in meeting educational needs of physicians. I should point out, however, that a resource more valuable than a room full of books and journals is an educated librarian able to meet these needs.
Hospital librarians are doing an excellent job not only of maintaining useful library collections but also of delivering good information services to hospital staffs. Your editorial comments that continuing education must include a means for getting information to clinicians quickly
