To the editor: There is an important error in the article "Sexual Function in Diabetic Patients" in Part 2 of the February 1980 issue (1). On p. 332, on the right-hand column, paragraph 1, line 7, the author has said that many of these drugs (that is, antihypertensive drugs) are sympathomimetic. This is a mistake, because these drugs are not sympathomimetic. All antihypertensive drugs are sympathetic inhibitors either centrally through hypothalamus or peripherally through receptors. In other words, they are to be considered as sympatholytic drugs. Extending this connotation it may be stated further that all drug groups mentioned here
