The author has for many years given the subject matter of this book in lecture form to patients suffering from various nutritional disorders. He believes that errors in diet are very common, and that such errors are responsible for many minor ailments as well as some of the more serious ones. He, therefore, believes that a simple statement of the fundamental principles underlying the selection of a normal diet may fill a definite need.
