The principle of contrast demonstration proposed by Radt and investigated also by Oka is the basis of the present study. In this method the contrast substance introduced in colloidal state into the organism parenterally, is taken up by the reticulo-endothelial cells in finely granular form. In further study of this method the authors made use of a preparation containing 25 per cent thorium dioxide (ThO2) which was miscible with all body fluids without precipitation.
