We all claim descent, as physicians, from the philosophers and physicians of the great period of Greek civilization, the fifth century, B.C., and yet in the rapid increase of current literature we may easily forget what that means. Of course, we can easily revive our knowledge in any of a number of excellent works on Medical History, old or new; or, we can reread any chapter or number of chapters in the Hippocratic Writings.
