This Bulletin, comprising 122 pages with bibliography, contains a review of reports appearing in the literature during the period 1876 to 1928 and also reports upon 11 additional cases from among beneficiaries of the Public Health Service. The analysis is approached from the standpoint of the history of the disease, its geographical distribution, and the occurrence of similar disease in animals.
