The Clio series of small volumes on various phases of medical history has recently had two new volumes added. The one under consideration, by the erudite professor of medical history at Düsseldorf, is a masterly presentation in small space of the achievements of German and Austrian physicians in the fields of medicine, surgery and the specialties.
