This interesting volume is divided into three main headings. The first, entitled "The Biological Problem and Methods," compares the methods of the physical scientist with those of the biologist and in it the limitations of physical methods in biology are emphasized.
The second division of the book is entitled, "Cicatrization of Wounds and Tissue-Culture." In this a comprehensive survey of the cicatrization of wounds on individuals of various age groups is reported. Many of the observations of the author were made on soldiers during the World War.
