This book is a short, very readable treatise on a recent and most promising technic in the psychiatric treatment of problem children. The author presents a study of 36 rather severe cases treated by this method. He describes four of these cases in some detail, and his general conclusions are based on the findings of the larger group. In the first chapter he gives the history of the development of this technic and discusses the literature. Throughout the book the author shows a sane, common sense approach to a topic that is confused by theoretical controversies. The book is indispensable
