The author lists in alphabetical order over 200 conditions associated with headache and head pain. He very briefly discusses their etiology, symptomatology, and treatment. The material is not arranged in a manner favorable for use as a differential diagnosis. A considerable portion of the text is devoted to prescriptions, which are in many instances sedatives and reappear with slight variations throughout the book. Under treatment the author also includes prescriptions directed toward the specific disease. Head pain per se is discussed only briefly in the introduction.
