It is a pleasure to review this volume for it not only represents the first book on the subject of "Regional Ileitis" but it comes from the rich experience of a pioneer observer of the disease. Although the condition has ofttimes been referred to as "Crohn's" disease, the author, in all modesty, uses only the designation "regional ileitis." The book represents 18 years of careful study and analysis of 298 cases of regional ileitis in all its forms. No wonder, then, that a clear cut clinical picture evolves even though the etiology remains obscure. Certainly one can conclude as of
