This is an extremely interesting discussion of the fundamentals of venous pressure. It provides an excellent physiological approach to this subject and presents much basic information. The book is well-written, and its value is increased by many diagrams, some of which appear more than once in this small text. The gaps in our knowledge of this subject are made apparent and one's interest in this field is stimulated. It is, therefore, regrettable that no bibliography is included. This volume is recommended to all physicians interested in the study of the circulation.
