During the past year we have observed the appearance of a chronic, non-healing gastric ulcer of the lesser curvature in a patient who had had bilateral prefrontal lobotomy performed 10 months previously.
A single white male was admitted to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Canandaigua, New York, on January 1, 1943, at the age of 37 years. His early life had been spent in an orphanage, from which he was adopted at the age of 12 by his present guardian foster parents.
