It is very difficult to evaluate the usefulness of this little book. Part of it consists of suggestions for foods suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner menus without, however, helping very much toward the adjustment of a quantitative diet.
The greater part of the book is made up of a number of favorite recipes that the author has been using for many years. They are no doubt delicious, but it is also true that very little attempt is made to suggest quantitative measurements. A startling chapter is entitled "Desserts for the Rest of the Family—Beverages." These recipes are obviously productive
