The authors of this book comprise a team consisting of two cardiologists and two roentgenologists who evaluated 396 cases of congenital heart disease. This book is unusual for the clarity of the numerous photographs, particularly the angiocardiograms. There are 581 excellent figures and an extremely valuable bibliography of almost 400 references. In most instances the patients were evaluated by means of cardiac catheterization, angiocardiography, phonocardiography, electrocardiography and electrokymography. The literature has been reviewed for each entity discussed. Included in the text are chapters devoted to embryology, roentgenology, anatomy and physiology of the heart, a description of the various diagnostic technics
