This book is divided into sections dealing with each of the endocrine glands; sections on obesity and pregnancy are also included. Each section consists of a chapter on the anatomy and physiology of the particular organ and then follow chapters dealing with the clinical disorders of hyperfunction and hypofunction. The material is well organized and easy to read. Most of the advances in knowledge made in the last few years have been included; where controversial issues are involved, both sides of the argument are usually presented fairly.
