This book maintains the high standard of quality set by previous publications of the Ciba Foundation. Numerous aspects of water and electrolyte metabolism are covered with respect to changes at the extreme ages of life in both experimental animals and in human beings. There are discussions of derangements of electrolyte metabolism and their control and regulation by hormones and the kidneys.
