This is an excellent book dealing with the many different phases of present-day knowledge of human malnutrition.
For many years the author has been a teacher in human nutrition and an investigator in malnutrition, especially in Africa. The first third of the book, entitled "General Review of Trends," is by the author and serves well as a review of modern concepts of nutrition. The second two-thirds, entitled "Invited Contributions on Special Subjects," includes details of experiences in clinical nutrition by fourteen experts.
