The ideal book on interpretation of laboratory studies has not been written. Dr. Wells has, however, made the sifting of the many available laboratory procedures a much easier task with this volume, which covers reasonably thoroughly the spectrum of medical, surgical, and obstetrical problems, providing a sometimes sketchy but generally useful review of laboratory procedures applicable to the individual problem and evaluating the significance and relative usefulness of the various procedures.
Although one might question the relative amount of space devoted to various subjects on the basis of importance, in general one can find little fault with the over-all arrangement
