For sixteen years, the Mayo Clinic textbook on peripheral vascular disease has been the most comprehensive and authoritative treatise on this subject. Its intent is to explain the physiology, pathology, and methods of examination and investigation of the peripheral vessels, to interest the student in the historical development of the specialty, and to give support to the doctor who has charge of patients with peripheral vascular disease. In its third edition it so well succeeds in these aims that the book is likely to retain its outstanding position.
