The authors have made an ambitious attempt in this small monograph to cover the entire field of plasma lipoproteins and lipids including the historical background; methods for lipoprotein analysis; the characterization, transport, and metabolism of lipoproteins; the altered plasma lipids in various physiological and pathological states and in the use of hypolipidemic diets and drugs. In this reviewer's opinion, they have achieved their purpose most admirably.
