The 12th edition of the Early Diagnosis of the Acute Abdomen, spanning the period 1921 to 1963, maintains the excellence of previous issues. The changes include a revision of the chapter on the "Acute Abdomen in the Tropics," the addition of sections on acute porphyria, volvulus of the stomach, jejunal diverticulitis, and acute abdominal symptoms caused by vascular lesions and intestinal obstruction in infants and young children.
