An atlas of 26 electron micrographs illustrating the variety of fine cellular details seen in tissue types (epithelial, contractile, neural, supporting). Tissues illustrated are from mouse, rat, and bat. A similar Atlas by J. A. C. Rhodin, reviewed in the July, 1963, number of the Annals, would be more useful to the physician reader because of its wider coverage of more specialized tissues (such as endocrine and exocrine glands and special sense organs) and should be preferred to this Introduction for hospital libraries. Porter and Bonneville's atlas may be preferred for student use because it is available in a loose-leaf
