The well-known professor of medicine and Preventive Medicine at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, Hobart Reimann has for at least 20 years devoted distinguished interest and selfless compassion to the difficult problem of periodicity in disease. The present book represents an integration of numerous previous articles by the author with the observations available in the literature. The comparative rareness of the diseases concerned, the difficulties in the interpretation, and the futility, in many cases, of treatment are factors apt to obscure the central importance of these disorders in the medical discussion.
