Some sixty separate presentations by seventy-one contributors at the Ninth Hahnemann Symposium held April 15-17, 1963, make up this volume. It is noteworthy that the material has been published in final form in a relatively short period of time, and I suspect that much credit must go to the editor for his rapid accumulation and rewriting of much material.
Symposia, both at the original presentation and in published form, have certain advantages and disadvantages, and this volume is no exception. There is a great deal of repetition as various speakers covered the same material, such as splitting of the first
