Dealing with subjects which concern peripheral circulation in man, this symposium is based on the proceedings of the Sixth Conference on Circulation held at Bad Oeynhausener, Germany, in 1962. Each of ten outstanding German researchers have contributed a chapter. The first three deal with the anatomy of the arteries and veins which supply skin and muscle, and recent observations on the nature of the capillary wall as seen by electron microscope are given.
